MP Hoback Hosts Nipawin Municipal Representatives in Ottawa
This past week, Randy Hoback, Member of Parliament for the federal riding of Prince Albert had the pleasure of hosting Nipawin Mayor Dave Trann and Nipawin Town Councillor Lewis Robin in Ottawa.
Mayor Trann and Councillor Robin travelled to Ottawa to discuss elements of the Town of Nipawin`s 2020 Action Plan with federal government and parliamentary representatives. Included in the itinerary of Mr. Hoback`s guests were meetings with officials from the Office of the Minister of Science of Technology, the office of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Canada, the office of the Minister of Western Economic Diversification.
Mayor Trann and Councillor Robin also met personally with the Hon. Stephen Fletcher, PC, MP, Minister of State (Transport), Saskatchewan Senator Pamela Wallin, and Gerald Keddy, MP, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of International Trade.
“I am very pleased that Mayor Trann and Councillor Robin found their meetings constructive,” said MP Hoback. “It is important for local municipal representatives to put a name to a face in their deliberations with other levels of government.”
“I always welcome the chance to host local provincial, municipal and aboriginal representatives,” added Hoback. “Collaboration with all produces results.”
