June 5, 2017

To commemorate Canada's 150th Anniversary on July 1, 2017, Randy Hoback, MP will be accepting nominations for a Canada 150 Medal.  A total of 150 medals will be presented within the federal riding of Prince Albert.  The medal serves to honour the service and achievements of individuals in our constituency. They are being issued in lieu of the Trudeau Government's decision not to issue such medals.

The Canada 150 medals are a tangible way to thank and recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contributions to our community and country.  Randy Hoback wants to award these medals to those who are not normally recognized for their role in our community; the unsung heroes who make an impact without expecting fanfare. Whether it is a grandmother who is the heart of a community, a piano teacher, a volunteer, artists, athletes or builders of sport, historians, veterans and more.

Some suggestions for nominees are: youth leaders, community and family leaders, not for profit volunteers and business leaders.

This is a non-partisan medal and thus will not be awarded to politically active persons.  Canada 150 Medal nominations close on Friday June 30, 2017.
