The Enabling Accessibility Fund call for proposals is open

June 14, 2017

The Enabling Accessibility Fund call for proposals is open. This fund was created in 2007, under our previous Conservative government, by Jim Flaherty.  The deadline to apply is July 26, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

This fund supports community-based projects across Canada that improve accessibility, remove barriers and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities. Applications can be submitted for theWorkplace Accessibility Stream, as well as the Community Accessibility Stream. The community stream includes all places accessible to the public, including places of worship, community playgrounds, and community associations that provide events and programs for the public such as seniors centers, NGOs and other service organizations.

If you know of a deserving employer or community organization, please encourage them to apply. Details on the application can be found here:https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/funding/enabling-accessibility-fund.html
