Coronation Medal Recipient Gloria Mahaussier

Gloria Mahussier is nothing short of a superhero in the realm of advocacy for individuals with intellectual disabilities! Since her journey began with the Saskatchewan Family Network in 1997, she has donned the cape of leadership with grace and determination. From her role as President of the Prince Albert Branch of Inclusion Saskatchewan in 2000 to leading the entire organization from 2010 to 2021, Gloria has been a beacon of hope and change. Her tireless efforts on the Valley View Centre Transition Steering Committee, which facilitated the monumental shift from institutional living to community homes, not only earned her the prestigious Saskatchewan Premier’s Award of Excellence but also transformed countless lives. For nearly three decades, she has passionately coordinated INTEREC, a vibrant summer program that brings joy and growth to children with disabilities. Driven by her personal experiences as a devoted mother, Gloria’s influence stretches across various community and national committees, tirelessly advocating for a world where inclusion is the norm, not the exception. Her legacy is a testament to the power of compassion and action, making Saskatchewan a shining example of a more inclusive society!
